Today was grocery day, and this means my weekly totals link up as well. Tomorrow is my baby son’s first birthday, so there were a few special items on the grocery list today, and I ordered a cake as well.Oh yes, the frugal choice would have been to make the cake myself, but I decided to make the day less stressful and take the easy route…at least I have a coupon.
I did save a bunch, but I did not save as much as I would have liked. I usually do my grocery list the night before, after the boys go to bed, so that I can concentrate. Well, last night I had a major headache that made me so nauseous that I had to turn off the lights and head to bed very early…not easy with three boys in the house.

Total saved $69.92
I saved less than 50 percent of what I spent, which is a very rare occurrence, but I simply did not have coupons for a lot of the items I needed, which meant I had to buy the Publix brand. I also spent a lot of money on meat, where I only saved very little.
What products do you find it the hardest to save on?
For me it is OJ and meat.
