I saved up my swagbucks for a year to get my own SLR camera, and I was getting really close to getting the camera. Then my old point-and-shoot camera died in the beginning of June, and one day in July my husband came to surprise me. He had bought me a used Canon Rebel XT.
This is a really great starter camera, as I have never used an SLR camera before, and I am still learning how to use it. The camera is in great condition, it came with a camera bag, 1 battery, a charger and a basic 55 mm lens.
Today I ended up spending a whole lot of my Swagbucks Amazon savings, but I still have plenty left, as my husband is wishing for a wireless Blu-Ray dvd player for his birthday. I had waited quite a while to spend these, as I was not sure whether to get the boys’ bunk bed there or not, but in the end my husband and I decided to wait with the bunk bed until Christmas. I also wanted to get familiar with the camera, so that I knew exactly what to get.
This is what I got:
Sandisk 4GB ULTRA Compact Flash (SDCFH-004G, Bulk Package)
TWO BATTERY And CHARGER For CANON Digital Rebel XT Xti
Kingston 19-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader FCR-HS219/1
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Guide to Digital SLR Photography
Cyber AcousticsStereo Headset/Microphone, Ambidextrous design AC-201
I also got a book to give as a present, but I won’t list that here, and I also threw in a huge box of diapers that I got for spare change thanks to Baby Cheap Skate.
I absolutely love Swagbucks, and over the last three years I have been able to get some fantastic things with my Swagbucks earnings. I cannot wait to really start exploring my new camera. Photography sure is an expensive hobby…..
