About Aldi
If you are unfamiliar with ALDI, let me give you a brief introduction.
ALDI is a discount grocery store, but it is so much more than that. To provide its customers with the best prices Aldi steers clear of most name brands, and instead it has its own brands. ALDI carries more than 1.400 grocery and household products, and to keep the costs low Aldi is keeping things simple by avoiding non-essential grocery services.
Shopping at Aldi is a different experience than shopping at a regular grocery store, but once you get used to it, you will love the low prices and the quality products. I especially love the great prices on produce, and I love the special buys.
Aldi’s headquarter is in Germany, and it has stores all over Europe. Its US headquarter is outside of Chicago. ALDI opened its first store in Southeastern Iowa in 1976, and today there are over 1,000 ALDI stores in the US.

Tips for Shopping at Aldi:
  • Bring Your Own Bags! (Aldi charges for grocery bags to keep cost low and reduce waste)
  • Aldi only accepts cash, debit and EBT cards.
  • Bring your quarters! (To prevent their grocery carts from ending up in the ditch, you have to put a quarter in the grocery cart when you pick it up. Don’t worry, you will get it back, once you return it to its proper place).

Let’s get the ALDI party started…
