Earlier this week I received a bag of potatoes in the mail, or at least that is what it looked like. After a bit of investigation I found Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes inside of the potato bag.
This was the first time that we tried any Bob Evans product, so we were all eager to taste the Bob Evans mashed potatoes. The potatoes came right at the perfect day too, as it had been a long day. I had bbq chicken left over from the night before, so the Bob Evans mashed potatoes were a perfect match.
We received a box of Bob Evans Original Mashed Potatoes and Bob Evans Cheddar Mashed Potatoes.
The first night we tried the Bob Evans Original Mashed Potatoes, and they were quite tasty. They were very creamy, perfectly salted and they were extremely popular with everyone. I will admit that they actually tasted better than my own mashed potatoes, and those are usually very popular with both my husband and the boys.
My fifteen-month-old apparently is a huge fan, and when I tried to take a photo of my husband’s meal, he quickly climbed up on a chair and tried to get a taste.

The instructions were easy to follow, and by the time I had finished cleaning the dishes, the mashed potatoes were ready to be served. The Bob Evans mashed potatoes are made with real butter, whole milk and real potatoes.
A few days later we had the Bob Evans Cheddar Mashed Potatoes with our dinner, and I was a bit nervous as to how that would go down, since my husband does not like cheese at all. My fifteen-month old son loved them, once again! My husband liked them, but he has not been turned into a cheese fan, and my youngest son actually went to share my husband’s potatoes, after the little one had finished his own.
Personally I definitely prefer the Bob Evans Original Mashed Potatoes, but the Cheddar version was still creamy and tasty. They were prepared in the microwave for five minutes, and it was extremely easy and mess free.
I can definitely see how the Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes helps out a busy mom, and my husband has already requested that I put them on the grocery shopping list. I told him I would be looking out for coupons and a great deal.
What I love about the Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes:
  • They are easy to make
  • They can be ready in a few minutes
  • Take the mess and work out of making mashed potatoes
  • They are made with real butter, whole milk and mashed potatoes.
  • They are creamy and delicious.

What I do not like as much about the Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes:
  • They taste better than my home cooked version.
