My Grocery Savings
I was still pretty well stocked up on produce and meat from previous weeks, so I only picked up some deals for the pantry stock and milk, which we desperately need every week with three growing boys in the house.

My first Publix trip was Saturday night after a 7 mile long walk to the beach with the boys. I had several coupons expiring, and the only way to make it there would be a stop on our way home after my husband picked us up at the beach. I was tired! Very tired, and the boys all fell asleep in the car while I ran into speed shop.

I would have gotten more fruits at Aldi, but I had to take the bus back with 2 boys, a stroller and lots of Target toys, so I had to limit myself to the most important…bananas. It was a good thing that I only spent a little on groceries, as I bought lots of toy gifts for 2011 at Target’s clearance sale.

I have been working on a comparison shopping list between Aldi, Publix and Target on the regular groceries that I usually buy the store brand off, since it is the cheapest.
