Having kids in diapers and training pants can be very expensive, even if you are a frugal mom always looking for the best deal. One of the ways that I keep our diaper expenses down is by shopping at amazon.com with coupons, as it is often possible to find some fabulous deals, sometimes it is even possible to get free diapers.
My 18-month-old son just started potty training today, as he has started showing all the signs. So, when Money Saving Mom reminded me about the $10 Amazon coupons I had put aside, I realized that I had to get my hands on some cheap training pants.
I found $10 off a purchase in the Baby Store at Amazon.com in my free subscriptions to Parenting Magazine and Babytalk (Expires 2/28).
Now, I could have gotten a much better deal, if I had gone with regular diapers, which I usually do, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will only be using pull-ups for a short period of time.
I found Huggies Pull-Ups Training Pants with Learning Designs, Boys, 2T-3T, 58-Count for $19.97, then I used the 15 percent off discount for being a member of Amazon Mom (Free Amazon Mom Membership), and I combined it with the 15 percent off discount for signing up for the Subscribe and Save option Subscribe and Save Details).
I then used the $10 Amazon coupon that I found in Parenting Magazine (Make sure to sign up for free baby magazines, whenever you find a free subscription), if you already get them, ALWAYS look through the magazines for coupons, even if you do not have time to read it.
After the discounts my total ended up at $3.98 with free shipping. I used $3.98 from my Swagbucks account, which essentially made the diapers completely FREE.
Even if you do not have any of the 20 percent off coupons, or have free amazon gift cards from Swagbucks $3.98 for 58 Training pants is still a great deal ($0.8 per diaper)
You can do the same with any of the diapers at amazon.com, just remember to use the Amazon Mom and the Subscribe and Save discounts to get 30 percent off the price, before you add your $10 coupon.
Remember to CANCEL your subscribe and save order (unless you are going to use it):
When you choose the Subscribe and Save option, make sure to take the 6 month option (in case you forget), then as soon as your shipment arrive go to My Account, go to Orders, and then go to Manate Subscribe & Save Items, where you can cancel the next shipment.
I have another $10 coupon, but I am pretty sure that I have a 20 percent off coupon I can combine with it somewhere……(Cleaning up my paper pile is on today’s to do list).
