$0.40 Each at Target

This week is definitely free frozen food week at Target, and I made sure to fill my tiny freezer to the maximum capacity. The frozen food deal is a regional deal, so make sure to check your local ad to see if your area is included. The deal is buy 7 frozen food products, get a $5 Target gift card. There are no limits to the amount of gift cards you can get, and you can roll over the gift cards.

I want to add though that there were some confusion at the Target store I went to today, and the cashiers were not sure how to interpret the deal. The customer in front of me did not get her gift card to begin with, because the items she bought was not pictured in the ad. Although it seems as if most frozen products are included in the deal, from what I understood it was not all. As an example, as soon as I hit 5 of the qualifying products the computer would automatically let the cashier know that I had earned a gift card, whereas the lady in front of me did not get hers automatically.

I went strictly for the Smart Ones and the Birds Eye veggies, as I had coupons I could combine to get a fabulous deal, so I did not try this with any other products.

Look at all the food I got:

Between my quick Target trip yesterday and today’s trip I bought 20 Smart Ones and 24 Birds Eye Steamfresh veggies (no sauce).

I split the deals into three different transactions, so that I could decrease my out of pocket spending.

I spent $17.88 Out of pocket for 45 products ($0.40 per item)
I saved $46.60

I received $15 back in gift cards

I basically spent $2.88 for all of the above products. You can see more details about the Smart Ones Target deal here.

I want to give a big shout out to Totally Target for first bringing this deal to my attention.
