Choosing the right bra can be difficult, and finding the right balance between bra comfort, support and the right look can be even harder. Nevertheless, I think I might just have found the solution, as I recently tried on the most comfortable wire bra in my history of bra hunting. This Is Not A Bra
from Warner’s is quite an improvement from the old wire bras, which are collecting dust in my drawer.
As a mom on the go, comfort means a lot, but I do not want to run around in a sports bra all week just because I walk 2-6 miles every day. I have learned from experience though that not all bras hold up to my busy mom schedule, and when I heard about Warner’s This Is Not A Bra, I was eager to try it out.
I initially thought the name This Is Not A Bra was a bit silly, and it was not until I tried on the bra that I fully understood why this was the chosen name. I will admit it, I am one of those women, who think that less is more when it comes to a bra. I have often stood in the department stores looking at all of these huge, thick, padded bras, wondering how a woman could possible wear them. I prefer simplicity, no additional padding needed, and a mix of comfort and a feminine look to keep a good profile. So when I first saw the This Is Not A Bra, I was a bit taken aback at how thick the fabric felt, in all honesty I highly doubted that this was the bra for me.
Fast forward ten minutes, and I was convinced. This Is Not A Bra actually does not feel as if it is a bra. I have put the This Is Not A Bra to the mom test, and it holds up extremely well. The straps are a tiny bit wider than my regular wire bras, they are the perfect size for comfort and support, and they still fit under a tank top without showing. The satin comfort wire system is almost unnoticeable, as it encases the wire in a soft satin. In fact the This Is Not A Bra, does not feel as if it is a wire bra, it is comfortable and there are no wires poking me…anywhere.
If I forget for a moment how comfortable the This Is Not A Bra is, I simply have to wear a different wire bra for a day, and I will soon start missing my new This Is Not A Bra bras.
The This Is Not A Bra still looks great after several washes, the color holds up well, and the bra feels as comfortable as the first time I tried it on. The This Is Not A Bra style 1593 is made out of 82 percent Nylon and 18 percent elastane.
What I Love About the This Is Not A Bra bra:
- It is comfortable
- It looks great
- It gives great support
- It is a wire bra, but it feels just like a wireless bra.
- The straps are a tiny notch wider than my regular bra straps, which create better support.
What I don’t Love About the This Is Not A Bra bra:
- The It Is Not A Bra style 1593 is a full coverage bra, and I have to take this into consideration when I put on lower cut shirts.
