I have accepted the $25 CVS Gift Card Challenge! Cheryl at Simply CVS has challenged me to see how far I can stretch $25 at CVS Pharmacy, and she has provided me with a $25 CVS gift card just for this purpose. With the shopping tips, coupon match-ups and CVS deals alerts from Simply CVS, I hope to be able to stretch the CVS gift card far.
I actually took a long break from CVS shopping in the fall, as my local CVS Pharmacy stores were not very coupon friendly, and it seemed as if I ran into one problem after another. In the past couple of weeks, I have been able to score some great deals though thanks to the CVS deal tips from Simply CVS as well as due to Cheryl’s encouragement, and fortunately I have not run into any CVS coupon issues lately.
I am hoping that the CVS Gift Card Challenge will light my CVS shopping fire again, and I highly appreciate all the guidance from Cheryl over at Simply CVS. I feel a bit rusty in my CVS shopping knowledge, and I am going to be leaning on Simply CVS a lot, because Cheryl really is an expert when it comes to CVS. In 2010 Cheryl saved $3635.94 at CVS Pharmacy.
In all honesty, I thought I knew everything there was to know about smart CVS shopping – until the day I met Cheryl. Years ago we met at gather.com, an online community where you earn gift cards for participation. Back in 2009 Cheryl challenged herself to see how far she could stretch a $10 CVS gift card that she had earned at Gather.com. She ended up stretching the $10 CVS gift card over 17 weeks, and she was able to purchase $725 worth of products with the gift card. You can see the details at the CVS gift card post.
Now, I highly doubt I will make it this far, and the way that CVS taxes products has since changed. This means that I will be very careful to only purchase products that my family can use, or which I can donate, because I will be taxed on everything.
