This morning I had my first kid free shopping trip in a long long while. All of my boys are now home on summer vacation, and there is no way that I was going to go grocery shopping with three boys. No kids make for a pleasant shopping experience, 1 kid makes it doable, two kids makes it stressful, and three kids makes it impossible to shop.

So this morning, my husband dropped me off at Target and Publix, and then he took the kids to the park. This is a double bonus, as the kids do not get much time with their dad.
I knew I was going to go over budget this week, but it was planned for, and I have had a couple of weeks where I was either at the low end of the budget or under budget, so I still managed to stick within my monthly budget.
My kids were very excited when they picked me up, and when they realized they were going to have ice cream, so that I could fit in the Lean Cuisine, they were absolutely thrilled.
I actually made three trips to Publix this week, as Publix was on my walking route.
