October is National Breast Cancer awareness month, and in this connection Freschetta is presenting the Freschetta Product To Support Pink Program.
From September 25th – October 31st, specially marked packages of Freschetta Pizzas and Artisan Pizza Crusts will contain codes that you can enter on www.ProudToSupportPink.com. For each entry, Freschetta will donate $1 (up to $50,000) to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
At the Proud To Support Pink website breast cancer survivors can share their stories, and they are sure to provide everyone with hope and inspiration.
Whether you are a breast cancer patient, a breast cancer survivor, a family member, a friend, a neighbor etc., breast cancer has impacted, is impacting or will impact the lives of most of us in some way or another. Getting together to stand up against this disease and raise money for research is more important than ever, and I am thankful that companies like the makers of Freschetta are taking a stand to support breast cancer research.
Each week in October, Freschetta will give away 50 pink iPod shuffle players to encourage the sharing of the Proud To Support Pink Program. In addition, 50 pink iPod shuffle players will be donated each week in October to four cancer centers in the U.S.
My Thoughts On The Freschetta Pizzas:
Tonight my family is having Freschetta pizza night, and I have to say that I am loving the Brick Oven Roasted Portabella Mushrooms and Spinach Pizza with the fire baked artisan crust.
I am a big pizza lover, and one of the most important tests for a pizza to pass is the crust test. If you want to eat the crust, the pizza is excellent, and there was not a single piece of the Freschetta Roasted Portabella Mushrooms & Spinach Brick Oven Pizza left, so I will say that this pizza passed my pizza test with flying colors.
My kids’ favorite Freschetta pizza is the 4 Cheese Medley Pizza, because they like their pizzas plain and simple but with great cheesy taste.
Another favorite of mine is the Simply Inspired Classic Bruschetta pizza, because the flavors blend together perfectly. Although I was hesitant about the thin crust at first, it turned out to be delicious and perfect for this margarita inspired pizza.
You can buy the specially marked Freschetta pizzas at your local grocery store this October.
