As a mother of three boys, I love it whenever I can find a toy that keeps them engaged, keeps them thinking and entertained all at the same time. The Perplexus does just that, and it is a fun educational maze toy that even adults can have fun with.

In a world where kids are constantly bombarded with toys that move by battery power, makes noise and need little active participation, or computer games that keeps kids attached to a screen, the Perplexus is a great distraction. The Perplexus is a game that makes you think, makes you wonder and keeps you focused as you have to move a small ball through the maze, while adjusting the Perplexus ball to keep the ball from falling out of the maze thanks to gravity.

The Perplexus is a 8″ diameter ball, with a 3D maze inside, and it contains more than 100 barriers with a 23′ track, where you need to keep a small metal marble moving along the tracks while following the numbers. This is a great holiday gift, but you might have to purchase several, as everyone in the family wants to play with it at the same time.

The original Perplexus is recommended for children ages 6 and up, but even my five-year-old son has a great time attempting to move the small ball through the maze. While he does not have the skills to move the ball all the way through the maze successfully yet, he sure has a lot of fun trying.

There are three different version of the Perplexus, the originial Perplexus (shown in this post), the Perplexus Rookie (an easier version) and the Perplexus Epic (more challenging).

What I Love About the Perplexus:
  • It requires no batteries
  • It makes my child think
  • It helps develop hand-eye coordination
  • It helps my children learn how to focus on the task at hand, as any distraction will cause the ball to drop.
  • It is a great alternative to computer games and television.
  • It is a fun game for everyone in the family
  • It is a great way to keep your child entertained
  • Even adults are captivated by the Perplexus
