This week I decided to stay home as much as possible, which meant a one stop shopping trip to Publix. I still got some great grocery savings, and I stayed well below my regular weekly grocery budget of $60 – $70 for a family of five. Thanks to my well-stocked pantry we did not need much, and I bought lots of produce, milk, meat and eggs from last week, so I just picked up a few essentials such as orange juice, apples and oranges and then some extras. If you look at my grocery shopping trip this week, you probably wonder how I am able to make dinner, but you will have to look at the previous week’s grocery shopping trips to get the whole picture.
I wanted to get in on the P&G Pink Bakeware rebate (Expires 10/31), which meant I had to spend more than $25 before coupons on P&G products, and I was finally able to do that….without spending anything out of pocket.
The orange juice, apples and oranges would have been a lot cheaper, if I had bought it at Aldi, but because of the overage from the coupons I was able to squeeze them into my Publix trip.
