The Step 2 Taxi is one of the newest toys from Step 2, and Step 2 has really rolled out their expertise this time around. This terrific push car is definitely going to make an excellent holiday gift, and it will be sure to bring smiles to any toddler on Christmas morning.
I was afraid that the Step 2 Taxi would be too small for my two-year-old son, who is above average height. However, the Step 2 Taxi is perfect in every way, and my son fits great into the seat. He loves the beep beep sound that the horn makes, and he is just having a blast strolling down the palm tree-lined South Florida streets.
This weekend my big boys rode their bikes to our favorite neighborhood playgrond, while I walked and pushed my youngest son in his Step 2 Taxi. I was very surprised at how easily the Step 2 Taxi went down the side walk, and the thick wheels definitely helped make it a smooth ride for my son.
One of my original concerns about the Step 2 push car, was that I would have to bend over to push it, which I knew from plenty of stroller experience would give me a backache. Nevertheless, this was not the case with the Step 2 Taxi, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the Step 2 Taxi was to push, and how perfect the height of the handle is. I walked a couple of miles pushing the push car without feeling any aches or fatigue from pushing. The push car feels very light weight, and I actually think that the push car is easier to push than my big stroller.
The Step 2 Taxi also comes with a cup holder, and details such as the wide wheels make this Step 2 car a hit with moms on the go.
The older siblings pushed the younger siblings in the Step 2 Taxi, and a few of the kindergarten kids felt a strong attachment to the Step 2 car, even though it is only recommended from 18 – 48 months.
What I Love About The Step 2 Taxi:
- The wide wheels
- The light weight feeling of the push car
- The cup holder
- The sturdiness of the Step 2 Taxi
- The ease of pushing the Step 2 car
- It is great for trips to the playground, to the mall and anywhere where the kids needs to be entertained while on the go.
What I Missed:
- I missed some kind of storage, as we usually bring balls, picnic blanket, snacks and water to the playground.
- The set up instructions could be a bit more clear.
My Final Thoughts
The Step 2 Taxi is definitely a hit at my house, and it is built to last. With three boys in the house, toys needs to be sturdy, and the Step 2 Taxi is just that. The Step 2 Taxi has impressed me in many ways, and it is very popular on the playground both with the kids and the moms.
