I honestly have no more room in my pantry for cereal, but I just could not stop myself. The past couple of weeks I have bought lots of cereal, in fact I just checked and I bought 42 boxes of cereal in the past month. I know, it is crazy, but cereal is one of those things that my kids eat a lot of, and the shelf life is pretty good, as long as we make sure to rotate it by sales date. I have had to take an old bookshelf out to use for the cereal boxes, until I get the pantry reorganized…again by shelf date order.
This week Publix has Honey Bunches of Oats cereal on BOGO sale at 2 for $3.99 (South Florida price), and I already bought a few boxes during my regular shopping trip. When I discovered $1/1 Honey Bunches of Oats Fruit Blends coupons cereal in my local paper I went crazy. Thanks to my husband and a few neighbors, I was able to get 16 coupons, and then I headed for Publix. Unfortunately the Silk/Honey Bunches of Oats coupon available a few days ago, but it no longer printed, but I still wanted to get the cereal. Don’t worry I did not clear the shelf….After coupons, I ended up paying $0.81 per box.
