Music is a big part of my little one’s life, and for the first two years my son sang more than he spoke. In fact it was not until recently that my now 2 1/2-year-old son started speaking more than he sings, but he still loves music. The Music Together Lullabies CD is a very calming CD that works great at my house, when it is quiet time.
My toddler just recently stopped having regular afternoon naps, but I find that quiet time has been a good replacement for the naps, and playing soothing music helps enforce the quiet theme of our quiet time.
With songs such as My Bonnie, Great Big Stars, The Water Is Wide and May All Children, there are plenty of songs for both new and experienced parents to start singing for and with their children. My favorite lullaby is Su La Li, but I also love that Brahm’s Lullaby is included on this soothing lullaby collection.

Music Together classes have brought families together through music since 1987, and the songs have been brought to an even greater audience through the Music Together CD collections.

The Music Together Lullabies CD includes lullabies from nine Music Together collections, and the accompanying booklet contains information about each song as well as ideas for singing the songs with your little one.

With instruments or rattles your child can mimic the rhythms and feel more closely connected to the music, and it is a great way to get involved in the music for both parents and children.
The songs on the Music Together Lullabies CD come from various cultural backgrounds, and it includes Appalachian folk songs, as well as songs from Spain, Scotland and Russia. The soothing music is based on acoustic arrangements, and it includes several different singers with calming voices that will be enjoyable for both parents and children.
