I took the boys to the mall today, because it was threatening to rain but they had to get out of the house. We did not do a lot of shopping, but we did find a great deal on kids shoes at Sears. I spotted a signed saying 50 Percent Off Kids Clearance Shoes and Adult Clearance Shoes. (Excluding Lands End and Athletic Shoes)
I picked out a couple of shoes that my boys liked, and then we went to the register to check the actual prices. Of course neither of them scanned at 50 percent off, so I had the cashier call the shoe department. They then tried to tell me that it was only certain clearance shoes that were included.
I knew what I had read though (I even took a photo for all of you), so I gladly brought the guy along to the signage. Sure enough, after reading the sign, and after having talked to his superiors….I got the 50 percent off clearance prices. They said the deal is current, and they were not sure why the shoes weren’t scanning at the right prices.
So, if you are looking for a great deal on shoes (adult or kids), I can highly recommend making a trip to Sears.

One of these days I will have to show you my boys’ shoe shop, where I keep all the shoes that they will grow into. I have a large assortment of sizes….all at clearance prices, because if it is a great deal I will pick it up even if it is two numbers bigger than they need. I have learned the hard way what a good pair of shoes cost at full price, and I would much rather pick up three – five pairs at clearance than pay full price for one pair.
If you are looking for a great deal on shoes for yourself or for the kids, I can definitely recommend checking out Sears. If you buy kids shoes on clearance at Sears, make sure to sign up for the Sears Kids Advantage club too.
I love shoe deals too…I just can’t resist them. Unfortunately I have an extremely finicky boy who latches on to ONE PAIR of favorite shoes and refuses to wear all others until said favorite pair has pretty much dissolved into shreds. *sigh* Perhaps I’ll hit Sears anyway… for me!!
