Here in South Florida we grill all year round, but there is just something about May that says it’s time to grill. I grill dinner at least twice a month, and it is everything from steaks to burgers, pizzas and veggies. Grilling has endless possibilities, but my personal favorite is grilled pizza. Lately I have been grilling a lot of vegetables with my new Chef’s Planet Grill & Mat
Vegetables have a tendency of falling through the cracks, and while I usually save most of my grilled veggies, I always loose a few to the grill. With the Chef’s Planet grill mat, I no longer have to worry about this, and the vegetables turns out great.
The Chef’s Planet grill mat should only be used for indirect grilling such as grilling fish and veggies over low heat. My favorite veggies to grill are peppers, mushrooms and red onion, all of which have a tendency of falling through the cracks. The Chef’s Planet bbq and grill mat did wonders, and I no longer have to worry about losing my vegetables.

I was very curious to see how the grill mat would do with grilling pizzas, so I tried grilling both storebought and homemade pizzas. The result was phenomenal, because the grilling seemed to be more even than if I just grilled it over the regular grill shelf. I usually have to be generous with the extra virgin olive oil on the bottom of the homemade pizzas, so that they do not stick on the grill. However, with the Chef’s Planet BBQ and Grill Mat this is no longer an issue, as the non-stick surface works perfectly. The pizzas and veggies slips right off without any cooking spray or oil, I am thrilled!

Oh, it was hard to decide on just one thing as so there were so many things I would like to have. I finally narrowed it down to the slicing glove as I am leery about using my slicer since I have had some personal cuts with it.
