I have had a steam cleaner on the top of my wish list for as long as I can remember, but choosing the right steam cleaner for my family’s needs was difficult. With Mother’s Day coming up, I finally settled on the HAAN Complete MS30 Multi Purpose Steam Cleaner, and I started dropping hints about a potential Mother’s Day gift. I love getting flowers, but I would much rather get flowers that my kids have picked, or some that I can put in the garden and look at every year. As for gifts I am all for getting practical gifts, especially if they make my life as a mother easier.
This Mother’s Day I lucked out, because I got my gift a little early, and my husband had nothing to do with it. The HAAN MS30 came into my life, and it surely has made my life easier. I am not one to get excited about cleaning, because with three boys in the house I am always cleaning, and yes a cleaning lady is on the top of my wish list too. However, the HAAN Multi Purpose Steam Cleaner surely gets me excited, because I have been able to tackle tough stains and rough spots that have bothered me for years. Even better is the fact that I have been able to do it without scrubbing my hands to shreds or using harsh cleaning products.
With a family of five, it seems like I am always cleaning something, and when I finish one project another one seems to be imminent. This is why I decided on the multi purpose steam cleaner, because I had so many different projects that I wanted to use the steam cleaner for. While regular steam cleaners seem great, I really wanted something that could tackle all of my projects.

I was a bit hesitant about the multi purpose steam cleaner, because I had read some mixed reviews, but I kept my fingers crossed. I read the accompanying instruction manual two times, as I had never used a steam cleaner before. I actually found that the instruction manual was very helpful, and it provided tips that made the cleaning much more efficient.
The HAAN MS30 steam cleaner kills 99.9% of household germs, bacteria and dust mites without chemicals, does it get any better than that? It is easy to fill up, and it takes a maximum amount of 900 ml water, which gives you about 30 minutes of cleaning time. It took 8 minutes for the HAAN Steam Cleaner to heat up to ready position the first time, but since then it has only taken 5 – 6 minutes every time. I have been very satisfied with the amount of steam and heat that it produces, and it really does get the job done.

I have decided to let the photos and videos of some of my steam cleaning projects do the talking, because even I was amazed at the results. The kids actually applauded the HAAN MS30 the first time they saw it in action, and I will admit that I did give out a scream of excitement once I saw the HAAN MS30 tackle the oven door in no time.

It had been three months since I last cleaned the oven, and it is one of those projects that I do not find any joy in at all. I usually use a lot of scrubbing power, quite a few scrubbing pads and a lot of cleaning products. I am thrilled with the result after I used the HAAN steam cleaner, and the best part is that I did not use a single cleaning product.
I am especially impressed with how easy cleaning the oven wire shelf was with the HAAN steam cleaner, because this is one of those projects that usually take forever. I barely had to scrub to get the wire shelf clean with the HAAN steam cleaner, and it resulted in wires that looked like new.
Check out how I tackled cleaning the oven with the HAAN steam cleaner, I was especially surprised at how easy it was to clean the oven wire shelf. Normally, I almost ruin my hands by doing this job, but this time I did not have to do any scrubbing, and I did not have to use any harsh cleaning products either.
Another one of my projects was to clean all of our tile floors with the steam cleaner, and this has been done numerous times since my HAAN multi purpose steam cleaner arrived. Since it is not a vacuum, the first thing I did was to vacuum the floors like I normally do. I then washed the floors with my regular mop, and what the mop left over, I passed on to the steam cleaner. I had some very stubborn stains that I could not get rid of with the mop, and take a look at what the HAAN steam cleaner did to the stains.
I still vacuum the floors before using the steam cleaner, but I no longer wash the floors every time. The HAAN steam cleaner is especially effective in the kitchen, where there is a lot of traffic, and I love that it can get the job done without cleaning products.
Other projects that the HAAN MS30 Multi Purpose Steam Cleaner conquered without hesitation were steam cleaning all of our mattresses, steam cleaning the baby’s high chair, cleaning stubborn stains off our curtain, cleaning our Ikea chair with fabric cushion, cleaning the kids wooden chairs and much much more.
Our little ones’ high chair had gotten a stain from his bib, which I simply could not scrub off….not even with my magic cleaners. So, I decided to use one of the smaller HAAN accessories to try to get rid of the stains, and it worked like a charm.

I loved the high chair stain result so much that I ended up steam cleaning the entire high chair, and it now looks like new despite being more than six years old.
My favorite IKEA chair also needed a round of HAAN steam cleaning, because I have just been spot cleaning the fabric over the years. The cushion fabric is washable, but I have been afraid of having it fade because of wash.
I love how clean my favorite chair feels and looks now, all thanks to the steam cleaner.
I am so thankful that I decided to go on my gut with the HAAN Complete MS30 Multi Purpose Steam Cleaner, because it has been such a blessing to my family. - The concentrator nozzle attachment falls off too easily
- I would have loved to have extras of the Steel Wool Brush Attachment and the small Cleaning Sock as these will be used a lot.
- While the HAAN MS30 does have a nice cord storage, a retractable cord would have been more beneficial.
My family’s HAAN Complete MS30 Multi Purpose Steam Cleaner works great, and I truly have no complaints. It is being used almost daily, and I have yet to encounter a task that the HAAN MS30 could not handle. My only big complaint is that I did not get a steam cleaner any sooner, because it has taken care of so many trouble spots that I have been fighting with for years. My home feels cleaner, fresher and I am thankful to finally get rid of some of the trouble spots.

Living on a working ranch, not only would the Hann Complete make mylife easier by helping to clean, but being able to kill bacteria, dust mites and allergens (99.9%) would make my house more healthy for my family to live.
