This week was a bit of an odd one, when it came to shopping, but the grocery budget sure liked it. I only shopped at Publix and at ALDI, and I did so with gift cards from blogging promotions, which kept my out of pocket low. I know the title is a bit misleading this week, but I really did not know how to put it….and frugal shopping usually includes a bit of creativity.

Thanks to the gift cards and blog promotions, I was able to get $210 Worth of Groceries for less than $5 out of my family’s weekly grocery budget. I love shopping with gift cards, but I never take the value of a gift card literal, as it can always be stretched for extra value.

One example is the $25 Publix giveaway that I am hosting, as I received a gift card to help write about the deals and host the giveaway.

ALDI does not accept coupons, but if you need low-cost foods without the hassle of using coupons, then ALDI is definitely for you. I have put together a grocery price comparison, where you can see which products are lowest priced at ALDI. You can find it in the top navigation bar under GROCERY PRICE LIST. I hope this helps, I always use it as a reference, whenever I do not have a coupon for something.
