I did not have a lot on my Publix list today, but I needed to get my family’s weekly orange juice and lemonade, because otherwise I’d start getting complaints. I bought fish at ALDI and produce at ALDI, and we stocked up big time on lactose free milk last week, so I just got some bonus deals to supplement the contents of our fridge and pantry.

This was the first time that I tried using a Target brand coupon on a Publix brand coupon at this Publix store, and if I had not bee persistent I would probably have take defeat. The cashier had not heard about this policy before, and the manager at the front first said no as well. I asked her to check the updated Publix policy, and after a phone call the manager returned with a yes and an explanation for the cashier. So, if you run into probles using Target coupons on Publix products, you may want to ask the store to call Publix headquarters for an update.

  1. I had the same problem last week at my Publix and made a point to leave a comment about it on the Publix Facebook page. I called the store back and spoke to the manager who after reviewing the coupon policy said she hadn’t been aware of that previously. They also now will give you a gift card deal like Target will, pretty sure you have to have the add to have them honor it, but still cool by me.

    • Ashley, I didn’t know about the Target gift card deal match up, I’ll definitely have to look into that. I love this new part of the policy, where we can use Target coupons on Publix coupons, because my family love the Publix orange juice and go to 1 1/2 – 2 gallons a week:)
