The World Almanac for Kids 2013Finding a great holiday gift for tween boys that does not break the bank can be difficult, and finding a gift that will keep their attention for a while can be even more so. My 10-year-old son is definitely in the tween boy category, and he has reached a stage where he is not yet ready to appreciate soft gifts, but he is a bit too mature for many toys. The World Almanac For Kids 2013 will be under the Christmas tree this year, because I am hoping it will help satisfy my son’s curiosity a bit.

The World Almanac For Kids 2013 is full of facts about every topic you can imagine. Whether your kids are into music, sports or science there is something for his or her interest, as this kids almanac spans a variety of topics.

My six-year-old son was especially fascinated with the Animals section, in which a chart of life on earth brought lots of questions.  A collossal squid appealed to his ocean science dreams, and lots of other great animal facts.

My oldest son is getting to the age, where tv and music stars are beginnning to become the topic of conversation at school, and since he has limited access to television and Internet at home, the sections on music and tv is great for him to read, so that he can catch up on what his friends are talking about without actually having to spend hours in front of the screen.

I personally love the section about the United States, and I learned a lot of interesting facts including how each state got its name, facts about each president, and about the election process.

The World Almanac For Kids 2013 is to the point, concise and extremely informative, it is a book full of of information for curious kids, tweens and teens.
