Baby Sign Language DVDWith the baby’s arrival coming up, everyone in our family is practising baby sign language in the hopes that we will be able to communicate with her better and at an earlier age. Thanks to the I Can Sign baby sign language DVD from Baby First TV, even the kids are picking up on baby sign language quickly, and it has turned out to be easier than we first expected.

The I Can Sign baby sign language DVD from Baby First TV has been created for children ages 6 months to 3 years and their parents, and it is made with lots of repetition and clear video of kids and adults using a specific sign as well as of the item or action that is being signed.

Throughout the sixty minute dvd, simple words such as drink, eat, milk, water, mother and father are introduced, and the signs are very simple to do. The dvd is easy to follow, and there is an accompanying I Can Sign booklet that is helpful as well.

Our three year-old-son recently saw someone on television, who were using sign language, and this inspired a lengthy conversation about sign language. So, when the boys first watched the I Can Sign DVD from Baby First TV, my youngest son was curious, and he quickly started picking up sings. It did not last long before he asked to have a drink of water in baby sign language, and I must admit I was impressed.

Our six-year-old, who has a curiosity without limits, immediately started picking up the signs, and he declared that it was very easy. Before long he came to tell me that he wanted a drink of milk with a cookie, and that he loved his mother. Impressive, I must admit, and he eagerly followed the entire DVD.

I Can Sign is a television program on the Baby First TV channel (Comcast, Direct TV and Dish Network), and you can also find lots of fun, educational activities on the Baby First TV website.  At Baby U on the Baby First TV website, you can find more than 60 great activities for little ones to do.
