After six weeks of slow shopping due to my post partum period, I have now been cleared to start stepping up my exercise level, which means more walking and more shops. This week I have done two big walks with my two youngest, which took me both shopping and to the playground. I have yet to make it to the Y for some real exercise, as I chickened out yesterday. The Y will take the kids as young as six weeks in the childcare, but I just couldn’t do it. I am blaming the fact that I had all four of my kids with me, and handing off the baby just seemed too much. I need to drop her off for at least 30 minutes next week though, as I need to get in shape. I need it. The kids need it. So instead of me exercising, the boys just spent 3 hours playing in the pool…which they of course loved.

Back to shopping…. I have realized that becoming a mom of 4 instead of 3 did not turn me into an extreme couponer. I am definitely a coupon lover, but not an extreme couponer. I use coupons, when I can save on something my family needs, and I will wait to buy something until the right coupon comes along. Still, at this point I feel that even shopping at the drugstores with a bunch of coupons is too much of a hassle, so I’d rather not…

  1. I first saw Extreme Couponing I guess about a year and a half ago. Got psyched bought a new printer and a huge binder and was all about it for a few months. But the nearest Target, CVS, and Walgreens are 80 miles from me. It got to be too much stress and really hard. Think I ended uI have 4 kids, and that’s enough stress lol.

    • Ooops, ended up spending more actually, and had a lot of things piled up that we never used.

      • Amy, I definitely think that all couponers need to find their own coupon comfort level. We have very limited space, but I try to keep enough of an item until it goes on sale again. I am thankful to have been able to use CVS’ing to fill up our beauty cabinet though, because now that the deals are few and far between I still have plenty in the cabinet.
