The other day we made a wrong turn on the way home from the airport, but we did not realize it until the hood turned into cow pastures. For our two youngest sons, seeing a cow is something quite extraordinary, and we had to let them know gently that chocolate milk does not come from brown cows….

  1. Happy WW, have a great week. Feel free to link up at Ms Mystery Case.

  2. Love it! Moooooooooooooooo!

  3. I can relate! The same thing happened to us. When my city-dwelling kids who had never seen a cow in the flesh saw one up-close , they were totally gobsmacked!

  4. Great pic!

I remember having that chocolate milk conversation with my daughter when she was little.

  5. I can relate. There were no cows in the city where I grew up.

  6. I am glad you cleared that up … that chocolate milk doesn’t come from a brown cow, because this is a black cow and what would come from a black cow? I know a root beer drink with ice cream that is called a black cow, but it has nothing to do with milk. Enough said, very cool that your kids got to see a cow … a rare side for kids that live in the hood.
