Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme Cereal Event Review & Giveaway

Frugality Is Free Disclaimer review and giveaway
Hersheys cookies n cremeWe have a little disagreement in the Frugality Is Free family, because I say that the new Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Crème from General Mills should be enjoyed as a snack and not as breakfast. However, when I went to compare the boxes to our regular cereals, the kids surely won the argument, because the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Crème cereal only has 9 grams of sugar per serving, which turned out to be less than many of the other cereals in our pantry.

The new Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme cereal is made from 100% whole grains with at least 14g of whole grain per serving (at least 48g recommended daily), it has only 9 grams of sugar per serving, and it is a good source of Calcium, Vitamin D, and 10 other essential vitamins and minerals.

Still, is breakfast really supposed to be this delicious? The new Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Crème breakfast cereal from Big G really is quite tasty, and we bring it along on our adventures as a tasty snack.

 Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme cereal

The Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme cereal is perfect for a trip to the beach, the park or the pool, because it is easy for little hands to manage. It is a sweet treat made of whole grain, and the kids love it.

 Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme cereal

Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme cereal really does taste great as a snack without milk, but it is also quite delicious with some ice cold milk. My three-year-old son loves how the cereal turns his milk into chocolate milk, and I know that there will not be a drop of milk or cereal left in the bowl, if I serve the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme cereal.

The Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme cereal prize package comes with a cereal dispenser that the kids love, and there is just something thrilling about a little extra excitement in the morning.

  1. There are a lot of different varieties on the website. I would like to add the cookie crisp sprinkles to my list. My boys love the regular cookie crisp so this would be a perfect addition. I don’t think my store carries this kind so I might just have to order online now that I know I can. Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. I love Golden Grahams cereal. It’s definitely my favorite General Mills cereal. It’s sweet and delicious.

  3. I am most likely to buy Cheerios—we do a lot! We especially like to get the chocolate cheerios and the peanut butter Cheerios and mix them together when we want a special treat!

  12. i would add the Cinnamon Toast Crunch to my list. my family loves this cereal because it taste so much like cinnamon toast. at the same time the hersheys cookes and creme looks yummy too…..this might get added to the list.

  13. Okay so I have to comment on this “15 word minimum” bit. There is NOTHING wrong with a <5 word comment if it is substantive. Google does NOT consider it spam. If your comments were just "thanks for the giveaway" or "great giveaway" then Google will flag it. But there is NO minimum comment size, I promise. I have a lot of background into SEO so I promise that you will not be penalized and this rumor going on with bloggers is completely misinformed. Feel free to email me offline about it.

So to answer your comment, my kids love Cheerios and we like to provide that to them because it's the healthiest cereal. I like other sugared cereals becasue I was a deprived child and love sugared cereals, but I digress… 😉

  14. I love the good old standard-Cheerios. I have loved them from the time I was young till today. I love all varieties of the cheerios too. I also love Goldnen Grahams…they are delicious…I also like the fact that a lot of the cereals are putting whole grain as a major ingredient.

  15. I would try either Rice Chex or Corn Chex. Both are low in fat and cholesterol free. They are also low in sugar.

  17. Our family loves cinammon toast cruch. Not only is it tasty, but it goes on sale a lot and you can find coupons for it as well.

  18. I would choose the old-fashioned yellow box Cheerios! They are low in sugar, and maybe the oats will help with my slightly elevated cholesterol.

  19. I would get the Cascadian Farms Raisin Bran. I’ve bought it before and like it. I can feel better about serving it to my family.

  20. My grandsons and I absolutely love the taste of Honey Nut Cheerios. I lkie my cereal with a cut up banana on top.
