grocery cart with groceries

Please excuse the photo of today’s shopping trip, I must admit that I was too lazy to pull everything out for a photo op. After a couple of days with the flu, I finally felt okay enough to take the boys to the pool this morning. The baby and I watched, while the boys had lots of fun, but even that seemed to be overdoing it a bit. After two weeks without the Y due to someone in our family being sick and bad weather, it was great to be back though, and I cannot wait to get  back in the water again.

On the way home we stopped at Publix to do this week’s grocery shopping, which was only barely planned. I made numerous mistakes, and I spent a lot more than usual, since we did not make it to ALDI this week. I would have been able to save a lot more with coupons, if I had shopped yesterday, but yesterday I spent all day being sick, and I did not feel like going grocery shopping at all.

While you are here, make sure to check out the great-tasting grocery giveaways here at Frugality Is Free – you can even win money for your groceries too.

  1. Being sick is not fun, especially when you have a young family to care for. Hope everyone is feeling better.

  2. OK, I wrote to Publix in Lakeland and they referred me to ConAgra foods. Today I got a reply from ConAgra and they are sending me back to Publix. I’m getting nothing but the runaround to a simple question.
Weeks ago there was an in store promotion at our Publix in Jamestown, store 301. We complied by buying the required items, $30 worth, and sending in all the required paperwork….to the address provided and we have not received our $10 Publix gift card as of this date.

My simple question is: will we get it or not and when can we expect it.

If you don’t want to follow thru on these thing why have the promotion in the first place.
