Groceries

Today is my oldest son’s 11th birthday, so I had postponed Publix shopping until today. I had a $5 off $25 Winn Dixie coupon from this week’s ad, and I also had a $25 Publix gift card to use, which helped out a little.

Over the summer we won a AMF pizza and bowl gift certificate, which we saved for my son’s birthday. He has invited one of his best friends, his friend’s sister and their mom, plus his own two brothers, and so I picked up some snacks and drinks for the bowling time to make it a little extra special. I have prizes for anyone, who gets a strike, and we also made some really cool goody bags for everyone. We have cake ready for dinner, and it has been decorated with candy.

One Response to “Birthday Shopping At Publix – Total Saved $73!”

  1. First and foremost ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to your son. Please come take me shopping and show me how it’s done!! That is an awesome haul. I didn’t realize that Publix took other store coupons. I have only shopped there once since it was only recently that one opened within driving distance. But it seems like from what I have read that they have great prices. I am astonished and ashamed that I have not learned how to do better with couponing, considering how financially strapped we are. Soup and cereal gets old quick.
