Frugality Is Free Disclaimer review only

This year my youngest son got to choose a new Halloween costume for the first time, as he has been dressing up in hand-me downs for the past Halloweens. He has been perfectly content with the selection of hand-me downs from his older brothers though, as he wanted to be just like them.

After looking through a big part of the Halloween costumes at Halloween Adventure, my youngest son was trying to decide between three different costumes: A police officer costume, a Ninja Turtles costume and an Iron Man costume. After some serious considerations, he finally decided on a Donatello Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costume.

Ninja Turtles Costume

When the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume arrived a few days later, my son was beaming with pride, as he unwrapped his brand-new costume. He has already worn it on several occasions, and he would probably wear it every day until Halloween, if I would let him. A bit unsure of what size to get for our youngest son, who is quite tall for his age, we let him try on his older brother’s batman costume. It fit with room to grow, so we decided on the size medium (size 8 – 10). Still, while I wanted him to be able to use the costume for at least two years, I was also afraid that it would be too big.

When we pulled out the outfit to try it on the first time, it looked huge. However, after putting on the costume, it turned out to fit pretty nicely. While it is still big with lots of room to grow, the knee and elbow pads tightened up the costume a bit. It also has a belt in the back, and the mask fits him really well. The fit exceeded my expectations, and my son is thrilled about his new costume. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costume fits both our tall four-year-old son and our seven-year-old son, who is average height. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costume comes with a jumpsuit with an attached belt and shoe covers, elbow pads, knee pads, a mask and a stuffable shell. The ninja turtles costume is made of 100 percent polyester, and it is hand washable.

What We Love About The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costume:

  • The Costume looks Great
  • It comes with a cool mask
  • The mask is very flexible
  • The size 8-10 can be used for a wide age range
  • It can be handwashed
  • The stuffable shell, the knee pads and elbow pads add an extra dimension to the costume
  • Halloween Adventures ship fast – same day shipping on orders made before 3 PM.

Improvements We Would Like To See With The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costume:

  •  The Velcro from the knee pads easily gets stuck to the costume itself, if we are not careful.
