Frugality Is Free Disclaimer review and giveaway
swingballThis year we wanted to find a gift for our oldest boys that they could use outside. They already have a basketball hoop, which is very popular, and they love to play hoop with their friends. However, this time around I was looking for something a little more portable, something that could be packed away when not in use, and something that could be great for whenever friends come to visit. The All Surface Swingball Game From HearthSong fits all of the above-mentioned criteria, and it is the perfect Christmas gift for our big boys ages 7 and 11.

I  have fond memories of playing classic swingball with my siblings and friends during our summer vacations, and I hope my kids will think back of this game with the same fondness.

The All Surface Swingball Game from HearthSong comes in a compact carrying case, which also doubles as the base of the swingball set. The set seems quite sturdy, and once filled with water (or sand), the base keeps the swingball set in place.

It is easy to set up, in fact it takes only a few minutes to set up, and it is incredibly simple.

The cord is easy to shorten or lengthen as well with the small handy tool above. I’ve been very impressed with the quality and durability of this swingball game from Hearthsong. There is nothing flimsy about it, and it has definitely been built to last.

My youngest son and I have been testing out the All Surface Swingball Game, whenever the big boys are at school, and boy do we love it. Not only is it a great way for our youngest son to practice his tennis skills (which could use some improvement), but it is a great game for him to play alone as well. The best part is probably that his ping pong skills have improved, since we’ve started playing the All Surface Swingball  together.

Besides the quality and the portability, one of the features that I love the most about this swingball game, is that it is both quick and easy to pack away. With four kids in the family and very little space, the compact storage container is a huge bonus. The All Surface Swingball set is actually so easy to pack up that our four-year-old son could do it all by himself.

The All Surface Swingball Game is even light enough that our four-year-old son can carry it by himself – that’s the kind of compact portability that I like.

  • It is simple and quick to pack away
