90 Percent Off Target Valentine’s Day Clearance

After typing up yesterday’s Target Valentine’s clearance post, I regretted not picking up more of the Valentine’s Day cards. Why? Because, I realized how great these would be for goody bags. With four kids, I am always putting together goody bags for something, and while the dollar store is great…it can actually get expensive pretty quickly.

So today, I decided to spend a $10 Target gift card just on party favors. I ended up spending $0.30 for 16 erases compared to $1 for 8 at the dollar store $0.40 for 16 pencils instead of $1 for 8 at the dollar store. I also got glow sticks, note pads and tattoos with all of the kids’ favorite characters. I let our soon-to-be 8 year-old son pick out a few things for his upcoming birthday, and the rest went into the party box for other parties and events.

If you still haven’t checked out the 90 Percent Off Target Valentine’s Day Clearance, I have the feeling that today will be the last day….then it will all go to salvage. Once the items won’t give you a price at the scanners (says item not listed), it basically means that they cannot sell it to you because it has gone to salvage.

  1. It’s a bit off topic 🙂 but where are you buying diapers for your baby girl?

  2. Okay, I just wrote a long response, and then I forgot the CAPTCHA and it ate my comment…arghh!

Alright, below are some links to deals, where I stocked up.

I try to get the jumbo pack price down to between $3 and $4, and then I stock up. It is all about combining sales, with coupons, store coupons and free shipping…and not to be afraid of store brands.

If your kids get medicaid, you can use the ECB (I think that’s the name of it) credit to buy diapers.
If you ever have a package with defective diapers (such as the sticky tab coming off and such), don’t just throw them out – call the 1800 number on the back, and they’ll likely send you free product coupons.
If you like a specific diaper brand a lot, call the 1-800-number on the back and let them know, why you like them. They may send you coupons and even free product coupons.

My favorite diapers: Up & Up, Walgreens, CVS
My favorite pull ups: Huggies Slip On and Walgreens

I stocked up big time, when I was pregnant, so I really have not had to buy much since. I did some conservative estimates of what we would use, and then I stocked up between $3-4 per pack. We are almost out of diapers from the Up & Up deal, so you will probably see me start buying more diapers in the coming months. We still have some left from good deals here and there, and I can definitely recommend keeping an eye on Walgreen’s sale. They have a great sale about twice a year.

    My diaper need estimates:
    newborn 1-2 packages
    size 1 1-4 packages
    size 2 10 packages
    size 3 10-15 packages
size 4 ….lots, and lots, and lots. My kids are usually in size 4 from ages 1 and up.

I hope this helped a bit.

    • Thanks! The up and up deal sounds good. I never used that brand ( only used luvs and huggies) but I was able to buy some clearance ” Christmas ” up and up diapers this year 🙂 let’s see how they work out
