This week we had to postpone shopping a day, because I had two sick kids. In the Frugality Is Free house food goes fast, and just one day mean a big difference. We were out of milk, our fruit bowl had two apples left, and we’d started to dig through the freezer for frozen veggies, which meant it was time for an ALDI shopping trip.

I have to say that  having tweens in the house can be felt on the grocery budget, and where I once used to need tricks to get the kids to eat anything from the produce section, I now cannot fill the produce basket or the fruit bowl fast enough. Thankfully our ALDI store has great-quality produce at low-prices, which means I can shop for our family’s needs without worrying about breaking the budget.
