  1. Yey for coming in under budget – its so much harder now that the kids are home for sure.

    • Jenn, it really is. It’s not just the extra food needed, but also the fact that I am not as organized with coupons, checking up on sales etc., because we are off having fun.

  2. We are hitting around $50 a week now for our family of 8. We were right at $30 a week until the past year, when we changed our diet and started to eat healthier foods. Some weeks a spend over (depends on the sales) and other weeks I’m over, but when I take what we spend in a year a divide it up…it comes to right around $50 a week. A LOVE Aldis to stretch a dollar!

    • Janelle, that really is fantastic!
Do you get a lot of food from your garden? I just checked your blog and see that you do garden. That is one thing I really wish we could do more off, but living in the city gives me some constraints.
