Do you have a favorite toy from childhood that you wanted to give to your child? The Tin Toy Arcade might just have the toy you’re looking for in stock, because they have a myriad of classic toys, vintage toys, tin toys and fun wind-up toys that makes kids of all ages want to play.

Mr Robot Toy

A decade ago our oldest son had this fun robot that could dance, speak and shoot of discs, but it was somehow left behind during one of our moves around the world. Our youngest son has been asking for a robot for his birthday for two years, but I did not find one that I really liked. Then I discovered that Tin Toy Arcade had the fun-loving robot, his older brother had a decade ago, and I knew it was the perfect birthday gift for five-year-old Emory.

Mr. Robot can dance, walk, sign, dance and shoot foam discs, and our kids love that he comes with a remote control. Our kids love imitating his moon walk, and Mr. Robot sure does one impressive robot dance.

Of course Bellamy Blue could not let Mr. Robot dance alone.

One of my personal parent features is that Mr. Robot is that he only uses AA batteries, which means that we can use rechargeable batteries that fit our charger. So far Mr. Robot has impressed with his battery use, and as a frugal mom with a green spirit being able to use rechargeable batteries for the kids toys is a big plus.

Tin Toy Arcade has a selection of about 30 toy robots, so you might find the perfect robot for the robot-lover in your family too.

Take a look at our son’s video of Mr. Robot.

We also decided to give the Etch-A-Sketch a try, a toy that I remember my cousins having. It was always one of those toys that was popular with kids of all ages at our family parties, and with four kids from 2 years to 12, we need a great road trip toy that does not demand batteries.

The Etch-A-Sketch was in high demand from the minute it arrived, and the kids love creating on this fun toy. In a world where kids are bombarded with video games, have a lot of screen time, and simply need to be entertained on a different level than a couple of decades ago, it is simply refreshing to see kids go crazy with a simple, non-battery toy like the Etch-A-Sketch.

Etch A Sketch the Classic 1960 Original

The Etch A Sketch Classic 1960 Original was a hit with all of our four kids from 2-year-old Bellamy Blue to 12-year-old RoRo, and that is one amazing feature. The Etch-A-Sketch is truly a timeless toy.

Look at this retro packaging, this Etch-A-Sketch sure takes my mind back to simpler times.
