Did you get a $10 off $10 JCPenney coupon in your mailbox last week? We sure did, and even though we are in the middle of moving, we took a little break from packing to go shopping before we leave big city living – and there by a lot of stores – behind.
If you did not get a $10 off $10 JCPenney coupon, I strongly recommend signing up for the JCP Rewards program, and whenever you shop at JCPenney make sure to give them your phone number, even if you’ll never make it to the $100 monthly shopping threshold to earn $10 JCP rewards. I’ve not reached the $100 mark, not ever, but I still get plenty of $10 off $10 JCPenney coupons, whenever they are sent out for special promotions.
Today our two youngest kids went shopping for a birthday gift for their dad. His birthday is a few months away, but part of frugal living is shopping ahead. They found a nice polo shirt for him, and then they shopped with the coupon and a couple of bucks, which made them feel like they actually did the shopping. It’s never too early to start teaching frugal living, and I always make a point of having our kids calculate the savings as well as what they would have paid, if they’d paid full price.
