I received a $10 JCPenney gift card from Swagbucks in my inbox, so Bellamy Blue and I headed to our local JCPenney store to look for a birthday gift for my husband. The store is in an old mall that is more or less closed, and I did a little reminiscing, because I remember riding my bike to this specific mall, when I was a teenager. I’m still on my bike, but this time I have my daughter with me, and I l0ve it.
I hoped to find a pair of dress pants or a dress shirt for my husband, since he just began a new job where he needs to dress up. JCPenney did not let me down. I found a pair of Haggar dress pants on clearance at $22.85, but when I g0t up to the register they turned 0ut to be on clearance at $9.75. What a great price! Of course I went back to see if I could find more of this kind in his size, but I was out of luck.
Instead I headed for the ties, but Bellamy Blue already got him a tie for his birthday, so when I spotted a bow tie on clearance at $4.99 (it scanned at $3.97), I knew it was the perfect gift. Not for my husband, who is a tie guy, but for my middle son, who prefers the preppy look. It’s s funny, he’s into soccer, the beach and surfing, but when it comes to his outfits, he wants to wear a tie to school – EVERY DAY!
