This week I got a head start on our back to school shopping, as I won a French Toast school uniform giveaway at Thrifty and Chic Mom. I chose a pair of shorts with belt for my oldest son, a uniform polo for him as well, and my seven-year-old got a uniform polo shirt too. It was a very practical giveaway, but I sure loved it, and the prize arrived today.

JCPenney new logo

There is a hot $10 off $10 JCPenney coupon out, which means you can shop for free. I love these JCPenney coupons, and I picked up a free tank top for my little girl. A lot of the low cost options are already gone, but even if you have to pay a dollar or two, you still might just find a fantastic deal. Make sure to ship to your local store for free, and don’t forget to start out at Ebates or Swagbucks to get money back as well.

5/11 UPDATE: You know the saying, “When it’s too good to be true, it probably is.” Well, it appears that the JCPenney $10 off $10 coupon code from yesterday might have been just that. I went to check up on my order this morning, and it is not listed in my order list. So I checked out the JCPenney Facebook page, and while there are no information about any cancellations or such, the below is the response that anyone inquiring about their $10 off $10 order receives.

$10 JCPenney Coupon Cancelled

Check out the clearance sections, but don’t forget the basics. You can get a 5 pack of girls underwear for $10 – $10/$10 coupon = FREE!

girs underwear

Or free Melissa and Doug puzzles…go to baby, the baby toys

Melissa and Doug Puzzles

You can also shop for yourself…for free. Check out all of these Women’s shorts and capris, they are all $10, which means free clothes after coupon.

How To Get The Best JCPenney Deal:

  1. Start out at Ebates to get 8 percent back, in case you spend any money.
  2. Or, you can also start out shopping at Swagbucks to get 2 Swagbucks for every dollar you spend, and the best part is that you can earn $10 JCPenney gift cards at Swabucks too. If you sign up at Swagbucks here, and use the sign up code FRUGALITY you will even get to start up with 100 Swagbucks.
  3. Then pick your item(s)
  4. Use the JCPenney coupon code MORE2BUY where it says “have a code” and click apply
  5. A spot for serial number will pop up, once you hit the apply tab.
  6. The enter the serial number 0102798250 to take $10 off your order (This has to be done manually, you cannot just copy and paste the serial number)
  7. Select ship to store, and get it shippped for free.
  8. The store will call you, once your items arrive.

Thank you to Money Saving Mom for sharing this JCPenney coupon!

It feels as if, it has been a very busy week. Somehow I’ve still managed to squeeze shopping time in between doctor’s visits, going to the gym and more, and I have even managed to fit in some downtime for the kids as well.

I stayed under budget! Yahoo! Even after a Walmart visit…. I have no problem sticking to my list at Walmart, as you can tell Target is definitely my weakness. The difference is that I think Target’s kids clothes is much higher quality than Walmart’s kids clothes. The few pieces of clothing I have ever bought at Walmart have disappointed me, so I steer far away from the clothing section at Walmart.

How did you do this week? Can you stick to your list/budget, when you go shopping at Walmart and Target?

While you are here, make sure to check out all of these great giveaways…you can even win groceries…and money for groceries!!!

Publix groceries 020

This morning I stopped by Publix with my two little ones in tow. My three-year-old son loves shopping, and he is a big Publix fan thanks to the free cookie. The baby is a great shopper as well, and she hardly ever cries, when we are out and about, so shopping with the two of them is a breeze.

I had a $25 Publix gift card with me, so that helped a lot with the budget…you can win a Publix gift card right here at Frugality Is Free, so that you can save too. Enter the Publix Giveaway here.

Target clearance

After a bit of a Target clearance drought, our local South Florida Target stores seem to have bringing back some great clearance. I could easily have spent a lot more yesterday, if it wasn’t because I had set a limit for myself to begin with. I picked up three birthday gifts for my boys, a fishing rod, a bike helmet and a tennis racquet, all items that were on my boys’ wish lists, but which were way too expensive at normal price.

I have been looking at the bike helmet clearance for a month or so, but today I found the right one at the right price. The tennis racquet was a perfect buy, as we have added a little one to the family. My two youngests sons have been fighting over our kid tennis racquet, so adding another is a big bonus, and once our youngest son is too big for it, we can pass it on to our daughter.

Target clearance

I had a hard time deciding on what clearance clothing to use the $4/2 Target kids clothes coupon on, because for the first time there were plenty to choose between. I ended up buying my four-year-old two pair of new shorts, as the price just could not be beat at $0.45 each, and he was in need on a few new pairs. As the third boy in the family, he mostly wears hand-me-downs, and he only gets new clothing, when I find a great deal like this one.

Target Kids Clothes Clearance

I started out at the YMCA early this morning, where I took full advantage of two hours of babysitting. I did a pilates class, went swimming, took my youngest son out for a solo swim lesson, and then I took the baby swimming too. Afterwards, I attached the stroller board to the stroller, and then I headed for Publix and Target with my little ones. I’ll admit that my muscles ache now….but it sure is a great feeling.

Anyways, I made a quick stop at Target to pick up some cheap cheese and to check out the Target kids clothes clearance.
